SUPER BOWL PARADE!

It was a great day for a PARADE! 5Oº degrees, the Sun was shining, and the skies were BLUE! BIG BLUE to be more specific as the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS won the SuperBowl...AGAIN!
I'm a die-hard REDSKINS fan but when you live in the greatest City on Earth sometimes you just have to take advantage of the opportunities set before you.  I went to the parade to see what it was like and to give you guys a front row seat!
I saw all those crazy rowdy fans and thought...I want to be on the OTHER SIDE!
I LOVE BAG PIPES!  GO IRELAND!
Eli Manning w/ Mr. Lombardi..
more pics here...
See the guy scaling the wall? Yeah he busted his arse...
Aftermath...
There's Eli Manning(waving) the 2-time Super Bowl MVP and Champion.  Wow could you imagine how proud Archie Manning, his Father must be to have 2 sons who have 3 SuperBowl rings?  Anyway that's NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg flanked to Eli's left(our right) waving and that's the Lombardi Trophy being held in the air by head coach Tom Coughlin.

but it's still,
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!

SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!

Pandemonium filled the streets, toilet paper flew from the brownstones, police officers were jumping arm and arm with fans and tourists alike! It was amazing, fun, and crazy! The NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS beat the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl XLVI. Here's some photographs I got of the CITY!!

Euphoria filled the streets and congrats to the NY FOOTBALL Giants, but it's HAIL TO THE REDSKINS for this family.

Japanese Sweet Peas

We have the fortunate experience of living next to FlowerSchool New York where they have a multitude of events throughout each week.  These beauties are imported from Japan and have been incorporated into Matthew Robbins Design recently.   I'm a Country Boy so I like to talk to everybody and I have developed a friendly relationship with the owners of FSNY over the years.  Sometimes they will periodically give us free flowers!   How cool is that?  You truly get more with sugar than vinegar.

I learned this 45º degree angle trick at the W Hotel on Lexington avenue when I used to bartend there.  I like being different and there's no need to be like everyone else.  If everyone else is doing it then that's a heck of a good reason not too.
A special thank you goes out to FlowerSchool New York for always making our little apartment more enjoyable.  Flowers really do make a BIG difference in the room...any room. They have a magnetic quality about them.  I guess it's the whole "something from nothing" idea.  That tiny seed grows into a majestic beauty....sorta like us!

until next time,

~Country Boy
