I am so excited.  Today is a great day for all the Anthro Addicts out there.  As, you know I am a total Anthro addict.  Anthropologie has just launched a new Decorator feature on their website with all the tips and tools to take the Anthro aspect into your home.  Click here to check it out.

The Glossary page is really cool.

I can't wait to utilize this new feature for our apartment.  How about you?!

Spring? Yes, please!

Where is Spring?  I know some of you have had Spring for awhile now, but we have been missing out.  Last night it snowed in NY.  Crazy!  So, on this gray day, I really wanted a bit of sunshine.
Check out all the fun, sunny yellow stuff that showed up in my inbox.
Time to go Spring shopping!  :)

▲▼Optical Allusion▼▲

It's been hectic in the CB~CB household lately.  Nothing pejorative, just life in general.  They say the only thing that stays the same is change, and we're no different.   The challenges of living in New York City exceed anything you could ever imagine. I say that in full confidence and challenge anyone to live in a City that demands so much from you on a daily basis. Yes, that's life in general, but here in Manhattan "life" is different.  The City is filled with Alpha-Males and Alpha-Females; people are here because there are the best at what they do in their respective fields.  So finding your way can be a test within itself.  When I had a chance to photograph an apartment on Wall Street last week I was surprised that the Real Estate owner was 40 minutes late to our meeting.  When waiting, I saw this random piece of art on the corner of Water and Wall Street,  I then jumped at the opportunity to get my pixel peeper out and capture the structure.
The Art Structure was alluring. It was mirrored, and had a square and a sphere cut out of it reflecting the walkers that pass by.  Most pieces of publicly erected art tends to be confusing and ugly. But this one got my attention.  Unfortunately though, there were no mantles of acknowledgement, and nothing telling us who created it.  So I asked my fellow-friendly New Yorker who did it, insert sarcasm here, but to no avail.
Let's name it the Tropical Delusion!!
Country Boy!
Pretty KEWL huh?

It always adds to the mystique of the Art when you don't know who did it or what the piece means.  And here's my feeble attempt at the Vitruvian Man . Random I know, but ain't that life? Random.

all the best,

Country Boy

Where's the Blog?

Hey Y'all!  I know,  it's been a couple of weeks, since we have written a post.  I think we have the winter blues and are void of inspiration around here.   Hopefully, we will get our Mojo back soon.  Until then, thought I would leave you with this pic.
How funny is this card?  It's definitely what I'm feeling these days.

No seriously, we're totally more interesting on our blog!  Ha!

Culture for Country Boy

New York Social Diary.com
Hey Y'all!  How about some culture? Country Boy has always wanted to go to the NY Philharmonic Orchestra, and I'm all for trying a new experience.  So, I decided to surprise him with tickets for his Birthday.  I found a discounted rate on Groupon.

The NY Philharmonic is at Lincoln Center.

And our view of the fountain, from inside.

We had been to Lincoln Center before, but never inside.  It was beautiful!
Check out the gorgeous architecture!  Love those gold sculptures suspended from the ceiling!
We weren't Orchestra level, but we did get 1st Tier.

And here is our view from the box.
This is what the box seats look like.  Kinda cool, huh?

The concert was really cool.  They even had a Soprano opera singer for the finale.  It was definitely a bit of culture for us country folk.  :)

And here is a reverse view!  This is what the orchestra sees, as they are performing.  Pretty Cool!
It was a great experience!  Hope you guys can check it out sometime.

Until next time,

Washington SQ ~ NYC

Washington Square Park is a landmark tucked away in a small-quiet part of Greenwich Village, Manhattan.  It's a lil' over 9 acres in size, and is directly across from NYU.

The neighborhood was gorgeous near Washington Square.  As I photgraphed the area I started having déja vu, like I had either been here before or.......
It was when City Belle took me to London.  This archway in London reminds me of Washington Square Park along with the L'arc de Triomphe in Paris.  This photo was taken about 3 years ago in London.
It was a bloody-awful rainy day in London, but cheerio who cares!

Meanwhile...Back in Gotham, good ol' George Washington is standing guard.
He's lQQkin' at those trees; gonna cut one of em' down!
No George it ain't a CHERRY TREE!!!!
Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair  The event is in the hand of God ✭

(this one I get)
I tried to get the American Flag in the center of the lamp post in honor of Washington.

I hope you enjoyed our little trip to Washington Square Park.  As you can see by this bundled up lady, it was freezing outside.  I try to remain positive and focus on the sunshine, but dern if it wasn't cold today.

until next time,
