Yoga in Bryant Park

This is actually a shot of the World Record for Bikram Yoga in Times Square
I was there.  It was hot.  I lasted 40 minutes.
"The way they bend — we don't do that in Oklahoma," said tourist Ted Patrickson, 34, after a few minutes of watching
Recently I've implemented yoga as part of my workout routine.  It's much harder than you think, and they have all different types.  Bryant Park does a great job of facilitating the Yoga Instructors.  In fact each week is different.  They have free classes on Tuesdays at 1O AM & Thursday evenings.

Bryant Park behind the NYC Public Library under the trees.  More Zen than you think in this crazy town.  We even had a fan club watching us.

The class, a set of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, was ran by Rajashree Choudhury, a five-time winner of the All-India Yoga Championship and wife of Bikram Choudhury, the founder of Bikram Yoga.
 Back to Bryant Park.....peace
They have mats laid out for you to put your mat on so you have double padding on the concrete.  I usually bring a green towel to put my knees on.  Go to Bryant Park.  They do a great job and it's an underrated part of Gotham.

until next time,
